Nadine Dereza's Biography

Nadine Dereza is an award-winning international broadcaster and journalist. She recently presented for the world’s number one business and financial news network CNBC, hosting their technology programme, IoT: Powering the Digital Economy. Nadine chairs, hosts and facilitates live events, conferences and panel discussions for a diverse range of clients in the UK and internationally.

Nadine has presented for several broadcasters including BBC, CNBC, CNN, SABC, Simply Money and Sky TV. She interviews CEOs, senior leadership teams, entrepreneurs, key policy decision-makers and global politicians. She was named as ‘Financial Journalist of the Year’ during her time at the Financial Times and Summit TV.

Nadine is a popular keynote choice and is often asked to talk about the latest business developments and trends, the political landscape and the state of the economy from both a domestic and global viewpoint. She has presented and reported on many topics, industries and sectors including: AI & Emerging Tech; Apprenticeships & Vocational Skills; Automotive; Aerospace & Aviation; Banking & Capital Markets; Capital Projects & Infrastructure; Chemicals; Consumer Markets & Retail; Cyber Security; Education; Energy, Utilities & Resources; Environment, Net Zero & Sustainability; Financial Services; Healthcare; Hospitality, Sport & Leisure; Metals & Mining; Pharmaceuticals & Life Sciences; Technology, Media & Telecommunications; Textiles & Clothing; and Transport & Logistics.

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills appointed Nadine as a Non-Executive Director of the WorldSkills London Board. This was for the duration of the ‘Skills Olympics’ 4-year project to promote best practice apprenticeships and vocational training, and she served on their Audit Committee too. She helped lay the foundations for ‘WorldSkills UK Live’ – the largest experiential skills, apprenticeships and careers event in the UK. Currently she is a Non-Executive Director for virtuall and CVTV.

Nadine produces and presents The Television Podcast for the Royal Television Society London. The podcast features discussions and reviews of the biggest television events and news stories. Her broadcast expertise is put to good use, because she is a judge for the International Broadcasting Convention’s ‘Accelerators Media Innovation Programme’ which explores solutions to industry-recognised challenges in media and entertainment.

Nadine is Media Director and founder of Babaco Media, communication skills specialists who prepare clients for media interviews, presentations, crisis planning and parliamentary committee hearings. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, an Ambassador for Workers’ Educational Association (WEA), a Judge for ‘Young Enterprise’ and ‘The Business Books Awards’ and co-author of the 5-star rated best seller Insider Secrets of Public Speaking.
