Clive Woodward's Biography
Sir Clive Woodward is renowned for his extraordinary contributions to both sport and business. As Head Coach, he led England to their historic 2003 Rugby World Cup victory in Australia. A former England Rugby International and British & Irish Lion, Clive transformed the national team from sixth in the world to world number one, securing every major trophy along the way.
Beyond rugby, Clive spent a year in professional football as Director of Football at Southampton FC and is a fully qualified UEFA Coach. In 2006, he joined the British Olympic Association as Team GB’s Director of Sport, where he collaborated with key stakeholders across British sport. Under his leadership, Team GB delivered outstanding performances at the Beijing and Vancouver Olympics, culminating in London 2012 – Team GB’s most successful modern Olympic Games. Clive remains the longest-serving member of the IOC Entourage Committee.
Today, Clive continues to shape the future of sport as Director of Sport at Apex 2100, a world-class international ski academy in Tignes, French Alps. A successful businessman, Clive’s career reflects his unwavering commitment to high performance, leadership, and innovation across sport and business.
