Michael Omoniyi's Biography

Micheal Timilehin Omoniyi is an award-winning social entrepreneur, political commentator, and academic. He is a popular keynote speaker on UK and US politics, elections, democracy, tech and media.  He also covers topics around diversity, and mental health.

He is the Editor in Chief of The Common Sense Network, a bipartisan news network working to combat echo chambers and polarisation, by finding common ground between polar opposites.

As a political commentator, for over a decade, Mike has appeared various national news shows breaking down geopolitics and current affairs. He has appeared on GB News, BBC Breakfast, and has been featured on The Daily Mail, Tatler, Town and Country, The Mirror and many more publications.

Mike has been named by the Financial Times as one of the 100 most influential leaders in Tech in the UK because of his work on cyber-balkanisation and the effect social media and algorithms have on our democracy. He is an advisor on the board of Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International affairs, serves on the board of The Young Foundation, Salford University and more.

He is the Founder of several other organisations, including: The Apex Group, a closed group for CEO’s and Founders to share best practices, Our God Given Mission, a Christianity charity, and The BAM Project, which helps young boys to reimagine masculinity.
