Leah Williamson's Biography
Leah Williamson has quickly become a national treasure and cultural icon for female empowerment and women’s sport solidifying this at Wembley when she captained the Lionesses to a historic win in the European finals.
Leah joined Arsenal‘s Centre of Excellence in 2006 at the age of nine making her debut in a Champions League quarter-final.
After making 12 appearances in the 2014 FA Women’s Super League was crowned the FA WSL Cup Player of the Year. Leah then won the England Women’s Youth Player of the Year award and in April 2015 was named the 2014-15 PFA Young Women’s Player of the Year.
Leah got another taste of silverware in 2016 when Arsenal beat Chelsea in the FA cup final at the home of English football – Wembley.
Following on form her domestic success Leah was called up to the Lionesses Senior squad and made her debut in the 3-1 against Russia in the 2019 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Leah has also been part of a lot of campaigns such as in 2019 when she joined a host of other notable figures in jewellery brand Swarovski’s 2019 #FollowTheLight campaign wish focused on women empowering and supporting other women across a range of industries.
