The Next AI: Don’t fear, steer.
Artificial Intelligence and Robotics technologies are accelerating. They outperform humans in tasks once thought to be impossible to automate: AI can generate art, create engineering designs, and disover new medicines. AI is gaining agency both in the digital world, and soon in the physical world through robot bodies. Many think that AI has arrived and now we need to catch up, but the reality is that this is just the beginning. This presentation will take a deep dive into the unstoppable forces driving AI, walk through future waves of AI yet to unfold, and look into strategies for leaning into AI.
Key points covered:
- How different types of AI work, what they can and cannot do well
- The four hidden drivers of AI technology and their self-improving nature
- The six waves of AI technology, spanning the 1990’s-2040’s (we are at wave 3)
- Examples of healthcare AI applications from medical diagnosis to protein design
- The anticipated growth of the healthcare market: Don’t fear, steer.
