Larry Kudlow's Biography

Larry Kudlow is the host of Kudlow on the Fox Business Network and The Larry Kudlow Show on 77WABC Radio. He previously served as Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director of the National Economic Council in the White House under the Trump Administration. He is also a Founding Member of the Board of Advisors for the Independent Institute. Mr. Kudlow earned his B.S. in history from the University of Rochester, and later studied at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Mr. Kudlow began his career as a staff economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He later served as Associate Director for Economics and Planning in the Office of Management and Budget and was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac). Throughout his career, he has held a variety of prominent positions, including Founder and CEO of Kudlow & Company, LLC; Economic Counsel to A.B. Laffer & Associates; Consulting Chief Economist for American Skandia Life Assurance, Inc.; and Senior Managing Director and Chief Economist at Bear Stearns & Company, Inc. Mr. Kudlow has also contributed to the media and public policy landscape as Economics Editor at National Review Online, a nationally syndicated columnist, CNBC Senior Contributor, and as the host of The Kudlow Report and co-host of Kudlow & Cramer on CNBC, as well as co-hosting The John Batchelor Show. He has also served on the Fordham University Board of Trustees.

Larry Kudlow is the author of several books, including American Abundance: The New Economic & Moral Prosperity; Bullish On Bush: How George Bush’s Ownership Society Will Make America Stronger; JFK and the Reagan Revolution: A Secret History of American Prosperity; and Tide: Why Tax Cuts Are the Key to Prosperity and Freedom.

He has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Bishop’s Humanitarian Award from the Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, the New York Police Department Holy Name Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Ambassadors for Mission Award from the Pontifical Mission Societies of the United States.
