Joyce Harper Keynote Speaker

Joyce Harper is Professor of Reproductive Science, and Head of the Reproductive Science and Society Group, at the Institute for Women’s Health, University College London.  She is the author of ‘Your Fertile Years‘ and a keynote speaker on reproductive health, fertility and genetics.

Joyce is Director of the Embryology and PGD Academy which delivers an online certificate in clinical embryology, and Founder of Global Women Connected and Reproductive Health at Work.

She has worked in the fields of fertility, genetics and reproductive science since 1987, written over 240 scientific papers and published three books.  Joyce began her career as an embryologist, before moving into reproductive science and genetics. She is currently researching fertility and reproductive health education, FemTech, IVF add-ons, gamete donation, the menopause and cold water swimming and reproductive health.

Joyce is a passionate educator at all levels, from the general public to PhD students.  She regularly delivers keynote talks and plenary lectures at international meetings and conferences, and makes frequent appearances on TV, radio and in the press. She helps companies to understand fertility issues such as the menopause in the workplace, and she works with schools in the UK and globally to deliver reproductive health education.

She founded Reproductive Health at Work, designed to help companies ensure that they cater for the reproductive health needs of their staff, from the menstrual cycle to the menopause.   She is co-founder of the UK Fertility Education Initiative and founder of the International Reproductive Health Education Collaboration.

Joyce is the author of Your Fertile Years, What you need to know to make informed choices and hosts a podcast called Why Didn’t Anyone Tell Me This?.  

She is a cold-water swimmer and a member of the Reproductive Health and Cold-Water Swimming research team. She is an ambassador for This Girl Can.
