Jamie Crummie's Biography

Jamie Crummie is the co-founder of Too Good To Go, the world’s largest marketplace for surplus food. Since launching in 2016, the app has grown to more than 100 million users across 19 countries and has rescued over 450 million meals from landfill—avoiding nearly a million tonnes of CO₂e.

Trained in human-rights law, Jamie channels his legal mindset into entrepreneurial activism, transforming a simple idea into a movement recognised on every continent. His impact has earned him a place on Forbes 30 Under 30 (2019), One Young World’s Entrepreneur of the Year (2020), Forbes 50 Next Trailblazing Activist (2021), Great British Entrepreneur Awards Sustainability Entrepreneur (2022), and the Obama Foundation Leaders programme (2023).

In 2024, Jamie spearheaded a coalition with major UK retailers and the British Retail Consortium, urging the government to mandate food waste reporting across the supply chain. His leadership in this initiative underscores his commitment to systemic change in food sustainability.

On stage, Jamie blends start-up grit with policy insight, offering audiences actionable frameworks for embedding purpose, cutting waste, and unlocking growth through circular thinking. He argues that fighting food waste is among the fastest, lowest-cost routes to net-zero—transforming environmental responsibility into lasting competitive advantage.
