James Ogilvy's Biography

James Ogilvy, respected strategic brand consultant to luxury brands, founded Luxury Briefing in 1996 and over the course of fifteen years established it as the prime resource for those working in and around the luxury industry.

In 1999 Luxury Briefing organised its first conference for the industry and has since held 16 of these events in both London and New York at which many of the industry’s key figures have spoken. Each year, the Luxury Briefing Awards of Excellence are also held in London; these are designed to recognise outstanding achievement by brands or individuals. After 17 years, Luxury Briefing remains unique in the global market that is luxury.

In 2010, James sold Luxury Briefing to concentrate on providing consulting services to a variety of brands and businesses connected with the luxury industry such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Linley, BAFTA, Frescobal Carioca, Aston Martin, Maybourne Group, Global Philanthropic, the Berkeley Group and Goodwood.
