Bruce Whitfield's Biography

Bruce Whitfield works at the intersection of business, politics and society.  He is a journalist, author and keynote speaker.  Drawing on his experiences, his talks focus on important business topics such as thriving in chaos, the importance of growth mindsets and finding your purpose.

He is a Contributing Editor to the Financial Mail, a Columnist at Business Live, and provides foreign correspondence to several international news providers.

Bruce has won several awards for his journalism, and has hosted several TV programmes.  Throughout his career he has shared platforms with several notable figures including Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nouriel Roubini, Charlize Theron, Lord Mervyn King.

In 2022, Bruce published Genius: How to Thrive at the Edge of Chaos, in which he examines how to thrive in an increasingly complex, fast-paced, divisive global environment.  He shares lessons from his experiences on how to succeed against the odds.  In his first book, The Upside of Down, which was a bestseller, he explains how chaos and uncertainty breed opportunity. He presents examples that demonstrate how these current challenging times are actually full of incredible opportunity.
