Tilly Lockey, a motivational speaker and advocate for prosthetic innovation, has a truly inspirational story that resonates across the globe. At just 15 months old, she battled a severe strain of meningococcal septicaemia, leading to a prognosis that gave her zero chance of survival. Despite the odds, she survived, although it necessitated the amputation of her arms. Her resilience and determination from such a young age have inspired many, proving that she indeed survived for a profound purpose.

Now 18 years old, Tilly has not only adapted to life with her challenges but has thrived, turning adversity into advocacy. She was one of the early adopters and a co-developer of the Hero Arm, a state-of-the-art 3D-printed bionic arm produced by Open Bionics. This role has placed her at the forefront of technological advancements in prosthetics, where she actively tests and provides feedback to enhance the functionality of these devices for users worldwide.
