Monika Sattler 's Biography
Monika Sattler is a German-born international keynote speaker, author, and two-time cycling record holder. After high school, she moved to the United States on a volleyball scholarship and studied security sciences at Georgetown University, focusing on nuclear weapons. She later worked for the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Despite her successful career in international institutions, Monika felt unfulfilled. She decided to pursue her passion for sports, competing as a professional cyclist in Germany and later earning a master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota. She transitioned into management consulting, working with IBM in Switzerland and Australia. At 30, Monika experienced a midlife crisis and set out to find her true purpose, which led her to Málaga, Spain, where she embraced new challenges and cultures.
Monika‘s mission is to empower individuals to step outside their comfort zones and pursue big goals. To demonstrate this, she set two remarkable cycling records: in 2018, she became the first woman to complete the Vuelta a España on the same day as the male pros, and in 2022, she conquered all 124 Swiss mountain passes in just 26 days. These achievements embody her belief that with the right mindset, anything is possible.
