Liz McColgan, a renowned British athletics figure and compelling speaker, has developed a unique coaching bond with her daughter, Eilish McColgan. Their relationship transcends typical parent-child dynamics in sports, enhancing both their performances. Over two decades, this partnership has led to significant achievements, showcasing their effective approach.

Liz’s career includes winning the 1996 London Marathon and two Commonwealth golds in the 10,000m (1986 and 1990). Eilish matched these feats in Birmingham in August 2022, breaking her mother’s championship record.

Speaker Liz McColgan’s memorable 1991 World Championships victory in Tokyo remains an inspiration. Her dominant performance in the 10,000m showcased her iconic front-running style.
