Kristen Holmes's Biography
Kristen Holmes is a distinguished authority in human performance, seamlessly integrating cutting-edge research with practical strategies to empower athletes, executives, and teams globally. As Vice President of Performance Science at WHOOP, a leading human performance company, she leverages biometric data to optimize training, recovery, and sleep for professional sports teams, military units, and high-stakes professions. Kristen’s athletic career is marked by exceptional achievements, including being a three-time All-American athlete and two-time Big Ten Athlete of the Year in field hockey and basketball at the University of Iowa. She also represented the U.S. National Field Hockey Team for seven years.
Transitioning from athlete to coach, Kristen led Princeton University’s field hockey team to 12 league titles in 13 seasons and secured a National Championship, establishing her as one of the most successful coaches in Ivy League history. Her contributions to sports were honored with an induction into the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021. Currently, Kristen is pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Queensland, focusing on the psychophysiology of performance, further enhancing her data-driven methodologies.
