Kiron Skinner is a scholar, author, and foreign policy strategist with a rich history in government service, academia, and international affairs. Recognized for her expertise in international relations, U.S. foreign policy, and political strategy, Skinner’s insights have positioned her as a leading voice on matters of global significance.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Skinner received her bachelor’s degree from Spelman College before pursuing further studies at Harvard University, where she received her master’s degree and PhD in political science and international relations. Her academic pursuits laid the groundwork for her future contributions to public policy and governance.

In government, Kiron Skinner served as Director of Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State during the Trump administration.
