Kiera Walsh's Biography
Kiera Walsh is an England and Man City footballer who played an integral role in England’s historical victory over Germany in the European final 2022.
A lifelong Manchester City fan, Kiera made her debut for the club in July 2014 going from strength to strength each season. Although still young for the game she is regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in world football. A great leader within any team that she is a part of, she has been tipped as a future captain on England.
Keira’s playing career has been filled with success, she has played a pivotal part in four Continental Cups, three FA Cups and the FA Women’s Super League title with Man City. A big game player Kiera proved her ability under pressure by scoring a goal in the 2019 FA Cup Final at Wembley against West Ham.
In March 2022, she became the second female player to reach a ‘double century’ after captain Steph Houghton – her latest achievement in an incredible career which has seen her accomplish so much with the Club she has supported since childhood.
Internationally, Keira received her first England call-up to the under-15 squad in 2009, aged just 12. Her senior call-up came in November 2017. Since then, she has won the SheBelieves Cup in 2019, played in the FIFA 2019 World Cup, and represented Great Britain at the Tokyo in 2021.
