Leadership in 2025: Agile, Collaborative and Purposeful
The year 2025 has been referred to by many as “Twenty Twenty Thrive”. It is a year that has so far seen substantial change in a short period of time and will likely continue on this trajectory as we look to Q2 and beyond. Organisations across the globe are tasked with navigating this rapidly evolving landscape and at the forefront of these organisations are their leaders.
Facing a variety of pressures, leaders from all sectors and industries are being challenged more than ever by tightening budgets, advancements in AI and technology, and shifting workforce expectations. They are targeted not only with delivering success for their organisation, but excellence in their own performance as well as those within their team.
As the leaders of Twenty Twenty Thrive look to move through the year ahead, they are encouraged by others, to adopt a number of leadership styles to help navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead. By no means a definitive list, these include:
- Agile LeadershipLeaders should be flexible and responsive in adapting to the rapid pace of change within the workplace, driving innovation, high performance and successful change management.
- Collaborative LeadershipLeaders should encourage strong teamwork across the organisation, fostering creativity, open communication and faster decision-making.
- Purpose-Driven LeadershipLeaders should align their work and that of their team to the organisation’s purpose and core values, encouraging a passionate, motivated and inspired workforce.
