COP28 - What lies ahead?

Scott Lincoln
editor at Chartwell Speakers

Taking place from 30th November until 12th December 2023, this gathering of world leaders, scientists, activists and stakeholders aims to accelerate efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change and transition towards a sustainable future.

One of the key focal points of COP28 will be the implementation of the commitments made under the Paris Agreement. Countries will come together to discuss and refine their strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting to changing climate conditions, and mobilising financial resources for sustainable development.

In addition to government initiatives, COP28 will also showcase the vital role of grassroots movements and innovative technologies. From renewable energy solutions to nature-based climate interventions, COP28 will be a platform for sharing best practices and fostering collaboration.
