Miranda Brawn's Biography
Miranda Brawn is a leading philanthropist, business mindset coach, leader in diversity, inclusion and sustainability, and a sought-after keynote speaker.
Miranda’s career spans across multiple fields within the private, public and third sector. She is widely celebrated for both her personal and professional success stories, which inspire and motivate audiences. She grew up in East London and started as one of the first women of colour to work on the City of London’s trading floor as a teenager. She went on to become a British senior financial executive, investment banker, hedge fund sales trader and international lawyer, after being Called to the Bar of England and Wales to become a Barrister. Miranda has an expert understanding of global challenges, and helps audiences to bridge the gap between diversity, inclusion, sustainability and success.
Miranda was recognised by the Financial Times as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the World” and the “Top 30 Ethnic Minority Leaders in the World”. As a speaker and business success mindset coach, she demonstrates to audiences how to unlock a successful mindset, using neuroscience and the laws of attraction. She launched #The60SecondCoach, demonstrating how to excel in both personal and professional endeavors.
She is ranked as a leading global DE&I and ESG+H(ealth) champion, and sits on several national and international boards. Miranda supports charities across the world and founded The Miranda Brawn Diversity Leadership Foundation’.
Miranda is a former senior Visiting Fellow at Oxford University, lecturing, mentoring and researching ‘The Brawn Review: on Boardroom Sustainability, Inclusion and Corporate Governance’. This report will be launched in the UK’s House of Lords in 2025. She regularly contributes to media outlets such as Bloomberg, Forbes, and the BBC, and is the host of The D.A.R.E podcast, where she explores successful mindsets with some of the world’s most successful global leaders and celebrities.
Her leadership and positive influence have won her several prestigious awards and accolades, including; the Top 50 Afro-Caribbean Leadership Award at the House of Lords, UK, the UK Prime Minister awarded her ‘Point of Light’ status due to the positive impact of her Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work of her registered Charity, as well as Honorary Degrees from The University of Brighton, The University of Law and The University of Roehampton.
